Continuing Professional Education
NTCA offers Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours for its annual Finance and Accounting Conference and a few select standalone events.

Finance and Accounting Conference
The annual Finance & Accounting Conference includes a variety of general sessions, roundtable discussions and concurrent breakout sessions about telecommunications accounting, financing, telco financial policies, business planning principles and regulatory trends. The program qualifies for continuing professional education (CPE) credits under the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), and typically offers 18 credit hours.

HR Conference & OSHA Seminar
The HR Conference & OSHA Seminar connects you to industry leaders, resources and your peers to focus on strategic HR issues, industry regulations, workplace laws and safety regulations. With ample networking opportunities, you will explore ideas and opportunities that promote change and move your organization forward.

This program is submitted for review by the HR Certification Institute and Society of Human Resource Management for approval to provide continuing education credits toward their respective certifications. In addition, this meeting fulfills the human resources course (B105) requirement for the NTCA Director Core Curriculum, Key Employee Certificate and the Telecom Executive Certificate.

NTCA applies for credits from the HR Certification Institute for the Human Resources Conference & OSHA Seminar on an annual basis. For more information about certification or recertification.

Society for Human Resource Management
NTCA—The Rural Broadband Association is recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) to offer professional development credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. The programs offered as part of HR Conference & OSHA Seminar are valid for PDCs for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP as indicated below:

Preconference: 3.75 PDCs
HR Conference: 12.25 PDCs
OSHA Seminar: 12.0 PDCs

Legal Seminar
The NTCA Legal seminar reviews the latest developments in telecommunications law and regulatory proceedings and applies this information to rural, independent telecom providers. It also addresses corporate structure issues and business strategies; employment law, including relevant court decisions; legal issues relating to emerging technologies; and business opportunities and professional ethics. The program complies with state mandatory continuing legal education (MCLE) requirements, and provides typically 10 credits with at least 1.25 ethics credits.
